Statistics: Russia’s inflation at 0.1% October 16–Monday
MOSCOW, Oct 24 (PRIME) -- Russian consumer prices rose 0.1% for a fifth consecutive week from October 16 through Monday, and inflation has reached 2.9% since January 1, the Federal State Statistics Service said in a report on Wednesday.
In the reported week, prices for millet grew by 3.4%, for eggs 1.1%, for white sugar 1%, for chicken 0.9%, for semi-cooked sausage, sausages, buckwheat, pasta and noodles 0.4%, for cooked sausage, meat preserves, flour and rice 0.3%, for mutton, cottage cheese, cheese, butter and margarine 0.2%.
Pork, salt, tea and hard candy prices fell 0.1%.
Prices for fruit and vegetables remained unchanged.
Gasoline prices added 0.1% and diesel fuel prices went up 0.3%.
